Press release on the provision of scholarships to Cambodian students who returned from Thailand to study at public and private higher education institutions in Cambodia under the name “Samdech Techo Scholarship”
On 31 July 2025, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport issued a press release on the provision of scholarships to Cambodian students who returned from Thailand to study at public and private higher education institutions in Cambodia under the name “Samdech Techo Scholarship”.
Since the outbreak of armed conflict along the Cambodian-Thai border on 24 July 2025 until the morning of 30 July 2025, 423 students have returned to Cambodia from Thailand. Of the 423 students, 172 have applied for scholarships from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to continue their studies at public and private higher education institutions in Cambodia.
